Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-22
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using FileKit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of service
FileKit provides free, browser-based file processing tools including PDF compression, merging, splitting, signing, image format conversion, OCR text extraction, and more. All file processing occurs locally in your web browser — your files are never uploaded to our servers.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the tools will produce specific results, maintain file quality at any particular level, or be available without interruption. We recommend that you always keep backups of your original files before processing them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FileKit and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to data loss, file corruption, or business interruption.
User responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your original files before processing them with our tools. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not attempt to reverse engineer, disassemble, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
Intellectual property
The FileKit name, logo, and website design are the property of the Service operator. The tools use open-source libraries whose licenses are respected and acknowledged. Your files remain your property at all times.
Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Your use of the Service is also subject to those services' terms and privacy policies.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
